* Research Workshop: Call for Research Proposals for the ECG Retreat

The IHPBA Early Career Group (ECG) Leadership Council invites all current IHPBA members who are early career surgeons (any member aged 45 years old and under) and individuals who are currently in training for the HPB Speciality to submit research proposals at any stage of project development for inclusion in the ECG Research Workshop taking place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at the IHPBA World Congress, Singapore

About the ECG Research Workshop:

The ECG Workshop aims to provide a supportive and interactive platform where early career IHPBA members can receive constructive feedback from experienced researchers and faculty on their research ideas or projects. The aim is to help participants refine, strengthen, and advance their proposals.  Submissions for research projects in the areas of clinical trials, epidemiology, health services research, or medical education are invited.

To be eligible, projects must be led by a current IHPBA member who is an early career surgeon or fellow member. All submissions will be reviewed by a dedicated selection committee, and selected projects will be invited for oral presentation and discussion during the ECG Research Workshop.

 📅 Submission Deadline: 31 March 2026
